Meet Jenny Pierson 🐱

Jenny is a lifelong cat advocate and TNR-certified rescuer with a deep commitment to animal welfare. As the founding executive director of the forthcoming Cat Museum of New York City, Jenny has a vision for preserving and celebrating the cultural history of cats through art and education. Her knowledge, passion, and warmth will bring new life to our tours, especially as she helps guide us into Manhattan’s feline history.

Meet Marie Carter 🐾

Marie is an accomplished author and licensed NYC tour guide with over a decade of experience. Originally from Scotland, Marie grew up surrounded by cats and now shares her Queens home with two rescue cats, Elsa and Grayson. Her latest book, Mortimer and the Witches: A History of Nineteenth-Century Fortune Tellers, showcases her gift for storytelling—a talent she’ll bring to every tour she leads.

Both Jenny and Marie are dedicated to sharing NYC’s rich feline tales, from historic bodega cats to the legendary city cats who have shaped the Big Apple’s history.
